These Skullgard helmets have undergone testing with radiant heat loads, reaching temperatures up to but not exceeding 350°F. The smooth crown design facilitates easy use of all MSA welding equipment. The helmets conform to the voluntary standards for reverse donning, low temperature [LT], higher temperature [HT], and Hi-Viz [HV].

These caps have undergone thorough third-party testing and certification by SEI. The date codes, located on the underside of the shell's brim, indicate the year and month of manufacture.
